Mount Meru Trekking

Mount Meru (4,566m) is an iconic stratovolcano located within Arusha National Park. Often considered a preparation climb for Kilimanjaro, this three to four-day trek offers a challenging yet rewarding adventure. Hikers will traverse through lush rainforests, alpine meadows, and rocky ridges, spotting giraffes, buffalos, and colobus monkeys along the way. The final ascent to Socialist Peak rewards trekkers with panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley. Unlike Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru’s route is less crowded, providing a more intimate wilderness experience.
