Kilimanjaro Trekking – Machame Route

The Machame Route is one of the most scenic and popular routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as the “Whiskey Route,” it offers steeper climbs and more challenging terrain but rewards hikers with spectacular views. The 6 to 7-day trek starts at Machame Gate, passing through dense rainforests, Shira Plateau, Barranco Wall, and Karanga Valley before the final ascent to the summit. It has excellent acclimatization, increasing summit success rates. This route is ideal for adventurous hikers who prefer a challenging but breathtaking climb.
