- 09:00 AM: Arrive at Marangu Gate (1,860m) for registration and briefing by your mountain guide.
- Begin your guided hike through Kilimanjaro’s lush rainforest.
- Along the way, spot colobus monkeys, exotic birds, and beautiful flora.
Midday:
- 12:00 PM: Reach Mandara Hut (2,700m).
- Explore the nearby Maundi Crater for panoramic views of Kenya and Northern Tanzania (optional short hike).
- Enjoy a picnic lunch at Mandara Hut.
Afternoon:
- 01:30 PM: Begin descent back to Marangu Gate.
- 03:30 PM: Return to the gate, where you will receive a certificate of participation for your day trek.
Late Afternoon:
- 04:00 PM: Depart Marangu Gate for Arusha.
- 06:30 PM: Drop-off at Summit Africa Lodge, Arusha.
